First in the World, Capacity of Laptop Harddisk 1TB (1000GB)

Western Digital has announced on Monday (27th July 2009), the first time the existence of two laptop hard drive with the capacity to the extreme, that is, the Scorpio Blue 1TB (1000GB) and the 750GB Scorpio Blue.
Previous already have a laptop with a 500GB hard drive, and at the desktop hard drive market reach 2TB.
Scorpio Blue 1TB hard drive is very interesting, considering the size of the hard disk of a laptop 2.5 inch, which is smaller than 3.5 inch desktop hard drive. Device laptop hard drive from Western Digital is the first hard drive that uses 333GB per platter technology.
Scorpio Blue hard drive is also standard with the support SATA2 (3Gbps), with a 12.5mm thickness, thicker when compared with the 2.5 inch hard disk with a 9.5mm thick. This means that the disk is not suitable for all 2.5 inch slot in the laptop.
Both Scorpio Blue 1TB (1000GB) and the 750GB Scorpio Blue, comes with 8MB buffer memory, with the speed of 5.200 rpm, which is rather slow speed 5.400 rpm standard hard drive for laptop. Scorpio Blue 750GB (model WD7500KEVT) will be sold range $ 190, while for Scorpio Blue 1TB (model WD10TEVT), which now can only be configured in the USB drive to the My Passport Essential, will be used as the internal hard drive in a few weeks ahead, for $ 250.
